Advent: Adult Faith Formation

The Chosen is a video series which presents the story of the gospels in a very accessible and interesting way.
Season 1 shows the early days of Jesus’ ministry when he was no more than an anonymous wanderer around Palestine,
teaching, working miracles and calling disciples. The humanity of the people around Jesus is depicted in surprising
and compelling ways and this brings the stories to life in such a way that it is possible to be surprised by what happens. Reacquaint yourself with the life of Christ this Advent at St. Ann’s.

Weekly News Update

From the desk of Trinette Stillman, Principal

November is a month in which we focus on the virtue of Gratitude. It is easy to forget how “God provides” if you
are too focused on others’ blessings. Temptations are thrown in our path relentlessly, and we are provided with
many opportunities to lose perspective on our blessings, to want more, and to forget that what the Lord has given
us is more than adequate. As a Christian, living a life rooted in gratitude is essential to growing in our faith.
Gratitude is an important virtue and flows from humility. “If souls are humble, they will be moved to give thanks,” St. Teresa of Ávila said.

This week we asked a few of the 2nd grade students what they are grateful for and here are a few of their responses:
“I am thankful for my friends.”
“I am thankful for God’s creations.”
“We are thankful for our shelter.”
“We are thankful for the toys our mom and dad get for us.”
“We are thankful for Jesus to die on the cross to take away our sins.”

Thank you to everyone who donated to our “Sparkles and Spirits” Gala, to help make it a successful event. If
you are interested in donating to or helping with future events, please contact out Home and School Association

Many blessings,
Trinette Stillman

Efforts to raise necessary resources in support of the 2021 Annual Catholic Appeal continue in our Diocese. St. Ann Parish is truly blessed with many generous people, who, despite many economic challenges, have supported this year’s campaign with their pledges and gifts. To date, $180,450 has been received representing 98% of our parish’s $184,000 goal. Once we reach our goal, all additional money comes back to our parish.

If you have given to this year’s campaign, please know that your participation is gratefully appreciated. If you have not yet done so, please consider supporting this important effort with a pledge or one-time contribution. It is never too late to participate.

The diocesan Annual Catholic Appeal provides financial support that enables more than thirty-five ministries throughout our diocese to bring a glimpse of God into the lives of many. The Appeal is an effective way for the diocese to advance the mission of Christ: to feed and house the poor; to minister to the sick and discouraged; to educate our young; and encourage strong, healthy families.

If you would like more information about the Annual Catholic Appeal or wish to make your contribution on-line, go to

May God bless you for your goodness! Thank you.
