2025 Catholic Appeal begins
March 15

“Through your generosity, the Faith and Charity Catholic Appeal brings hope to countless lives —the family receiving help in a crisis, the young person encountering Christ at a retreat, the seminarian answering God’s call, and the parishioner who finds strength through community and formation. This appeal is not simply about raising funds – it is about carrying our faith forward, ensuring that our church remains a beacon of hope for those we serve today and future generations.”

Commitment Weekend for the Faith and Charity Catholic Appeal will take place in all parishes on March 15 and 16. This marks the beginning of the annual Appeal, which this year has the theme “Together in Hope”.

This year’s theme powerfully reflects our shared faith and mission. Hope unites us, strengthens our communities, and calls us to serve those in need with Christ’s love. When we come together in hope, we build the Church, support vital ministries, and extend God’s mercy to those who need it most.

In the past, the Appeal has supported ministries such as Catholic Charities, youth and young adults, campus ministries, religious education, marriage and family life, the diaconate, and the vocations office, among many others, including evangelization tools like The Dialog newspaper.

This weekend is Annual Catholic Appeal Weekend. This is our opportunity to assist our Diocese in carrying out a wide variety of ministries throughout the diocese, that is, the state of Dela- ware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The Diocese needs our help to carry out it’s mission of proclaiming the Good News and putting that proclamation into concrete action.

Our parish goal for this year is $225,000. We need the help of every parishioner to make and even exceed our goal. If we go over our goal, 100% of that money comes back to our parish to be used for our parish. No gift, pledge is too large or too small. Think about your pledge/gift; pray about it and then be an angel of God to assist our Diocese and our brothers and sisters. May God, who is not outdone in generosity, reward you for your sacrificial giving. May God bless you for your generosity.
