The death of a loved one can be painful and lonely. We understand that grief is difficult to bear when family and friends surround us, but harder when there is no one to lean on. We hope you will consider joining us as we begin and continue a bereavement support group at St. Ann Church. One advantage of coming to a grief support group is that you will find yourself among people who know how much it hurts.

Grief and Bereavement

Our final session is on Wednesday, May 1st, in Delaney Hall. We will resume our sessions in the fall. Eligibility for participation remains at losses within the previous 5 years. Meetings are held on alternate Wednesdays from  9:30AM-11:30am. Non-parishioners of any faith tradition are warmly welcomed.

Sessions are lead by Daniel D. Cowell, MD and board-certified psychiatrist.

Always Hope

Always Hope is a bereavement support group for people who share their experiences of loss with the goal of healing and recovering.  This grief support group will provide a comforting “safe place” for people to help and nurture one another.  Know that you are not alone.

Our meetings will be held in the Masterson Room of the Masterson center, from 9:30AM-11:30AM, on the following Wednesdays:  May 8, 22; June 5, 19.  The facilitator is Linda Flynn, Certified Psychologist, tel. (202) 510-4214; email: lflynndc64@gmail.com.
