The death of a loved one can be painful and lonely. We understand that grief is difficult to bear when family and friends surround us, but harder when there is no one to lean on. We hope you will consider joining us as we begin and continue a bereavement support group at St. Ann Church. One advantage of coming to a grief support group is that you will find yourself among people who know how much it hurts.

Grief and Bereavement

Resumes on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Losses of any kind are considered but are limited to those experienced within the previous 5 years. The group is not a series of lessons or lectures but rather facilitates a deep caring, sharing and bearing with one another’s burden of grief. Meetings are held biweekly in Delaney Hall on Wednesdays from 9:30 to 11:30 am, unless noted otherwise in the church bulletin. The dates for 2024−2025 are:

September: 4 & 18, 2024
October:      2, 16 & 30
November: 6 & 20
December: 4 & 18
January:      8 & 22, 2025
November: 6 & 20

Sessions are lead by Daniel D. Cowell, MD and board-certified psychiatrist.
