The ministry of ushering is a crucial part of worship because it is one of the most visible ministries in the Church; above all, it is a ministry of Hospitality. Some of the duties undertaken by an usher include:

• Greeting newcomers
• Seating guests
• Collecting the offering.
• Distributing bulletins and service programs.
• Assisting with special needs
• Being available to answer questions
• Assisting with medical needs or emergencies
