Howard James Boyd, a long time parishioner at St. Ann, passed from this life on Sunday, August 24, 2025. A funeral Mass was held for Howard on September 6 this year in Frederick, Maryland, and a commemorative celebration of his life will be held on November 22.
Howard worked as the head of Social Justice at St. Ann’s in Bethany Beach. He was a founder of the Southern Delaware Education Foundation, which that helps lift people out of poverty through education. It continues to help break the cycle of poverty by assisting dozens of people a year to train for better careers.
On Saturday, November 22, 2025 a Celebration of Life in Delaware will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Roxana Fire Hall in Selbyville DE. Donations can be made in Howard’s name to the Southern Delaware Education Foundation P.O. Box 645, Ocean View DE 19970.
