Mission

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVdP) is a Catholic lay organization dedicated to serving the poor and suffering.

Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (or “Vincentians”) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need.  The St. Ann Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul serves its neighbors of any denomination or faith background who live within the boundaries of the parish and who are in need of assistance.  We provide financial, spiritual, and physical support to those neighbors in need, including home visits, a food pantry, and assistance with the costs of utilities, rent, or medicine whenever appropriate.

If you, or someone you know, needs help with food, please visit the food pantry at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church on Thursday mornings between 8:30 and 10:00 AM; except for the second Thursday of each month when the pantry will be closed in the morning, but will open from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Those who are seeking other services or assistance are welcome to present those needs at the pantry at that time, or they may simply call our hotline at (302) 236-9279.

No work of charity is foreign to the Society.
